The soulful and truly inspiring Indi Australian singer-songwriter Holly 'Cookie' Baker is bringing her "I Hate To See You Go So I’ll Go" National Tour to the historic Hepburn Palais for a FREE Friday Night gig in the Piano Bar! This alt-country folk icon is back on the road - and Daylesford Hepburn is lucky enough to have been chosen as a part of her Australian tour!
Why you can't miss this... Holly has recorded with Tim Rogers (You Am I) and shared stages with Neko Case, Kate Miller-Heidke, and Jen Cloher.  Her awesome live performances that wowed audiences right around Australia, with sparkling vocals, poetic grit, and an absolute masterclass in intimate, breathtaking storytelling & guitar playing right here in the intimate environment of our Piano Bar. 

Hepburn Palais is proud to put on another FREE friday night event for our local community, showcasing some of Australia's best indi artists.  Entry is completely FREE - and booking FREE - as our gift to our regional music community.  This event is Friday, 16 October, with bars open at 6:00pm.  Holly starts playing a bit after 7.30pm.  Entry is completely FREE, and given that there is no reserved seating, we suggest you grab your seats early, as space is limited.  Drinks are all at standard bar prices, and whilst Hepburn Palais doesn't have a kitchen we suggest you grab an early dinner locally in Daylesford or right here in Hepburn beforehand, then join us for a spellbinding night of original live music with Holly 'Cookie" Baker! THE HEPBURN PALAIS "THURSDAY NIGHT FIRESIDE ACOUSTIC SESSIONS - FOR FRIENDS TO MEET FRIENDS - EVERY THURSDAY NIGHT OCTOBER!  

THURSDAY 8TH & 22ND OCTOBER: MAL BEVERIDGE: Catch acclaimed multi-instrumentalist and storyteller Mal Beveridge for TWO acoustic & intimate Thursday nights, with a soul-stirring solo show at the historic Hepburn Palais.  Known across the Melbourne and regional roots circuits as a powerhouse guitarist & bass player for top blues and theatre productions, Beveridge steps into the Piano Bar with his acoustic guitar to deliver a compelling blend of folk, blues, and country.  Blending masterful musicianship with rich, authentic storytelling, this is a rare chance to experience one of Victoria's finest local talents stripping his music back to its raw, captivating essence.

THURSDAY 1ST & 15TH OCTOBER: 'BLUES FUSION' WITH CHRISSY & RAGS: Catch Chrissy on vocals & Rags on Guitar, with this truly brilliant duo from BLUES FUSION playing a selection of BLUES, R&B, JAZZ, CONTEMPORARY ROCK & ORIGINALS.  Chrissy's magnificent voice will have you singing along with their twist on a bunch of well known songs, while also performing originals from their 2025 album "Messin’ with the Blues".  They have delighted audiences at venues and events in Ballarat, Clunes and Creswick and have had original songs short listed in the 2024, 2025 and 2026 Australian Songwriters Association awards.

Doors & bar open from 5.30pm, with music live from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.  Bar closes at 10pm.

FREE FRIDAY NIGHT PIANO BAR FRIDAY11TH DECEMBER AT HEPBURN PALAIS with renowned Australian pianist Peter Sullivan for a Friday Night Wine-Down of great live music on the grand piano in our Piano Bar.  This FREE event features an evening of sweet soul, hot swing, cool jazz, contemporary hits, funky blues & some traditional classics.   This event is FREE, no bookings required, drinks at bar prices, and a welcoming place to enjoy Friday Night drinks!  

Peter Sullivan is an award-winning composer, producer and performer.  He was one half of the renown Two Man Band, as arranger, co-performer and co-producer with Mike Brady on the AFL anthem "Up There Cazaly".  Peter was musical director at Channel 9 for many years, responsible for shows including Carols By Candlelight, The Midday Show, Sale of the Century and The Footy Show.  He has written arrangements and produced albums for Normie Rowe, Little River Band, The Seekers, Daryl Somers and Colleen Hewitt.  He was also acknowledged for his work with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra on The John Farnham Album.  Peter "Sully" Sullivan is one of Australia's most loved grand piano specialists, with a repertoire of songs to play that very few can match, and rarely fails to be able to play a request!  For more information visit our FACEBOOK EVENTS PAGE
